Everything well-run and excellent customer service from the moment that I entered the door. Jasmine, the service advisor was pleasant, extremely knowledgeable and wonderfully communicative to myself and other patrons through the entire process. Various other members of the management team and a few service techs came through while I was waiting and acknowledged myself and others patrons, as well. I went in to have my thermostat replaced. The service advisor did not listen to me and insisted on doing a diagnostic check. This wasted $189 of MY money when I explained that I had experienced the following problems 1. No heat in the cabin. 2. Temperature gauge did not move from 160 degrees. 3. Radiator fluid was full but cold. 4. Water hoses were cold to the touch. 5. My code reader gave error code P0128. Anyone with any mechanical knowledge would know the thermostat was stuck open. All told replacing something as simple as a thermostat would know it should not end up costing me $999.00. When I said something when I picked the vehicle up I was told because they had highly trained service technicians is why it cost so much. That is definitely a NO in my opinion or its highly untrained service advisors.

The dealer experience was fine. The service desk adviser was very open about the nature of the service letter and why Chevrolet was inspecting the Silverado pickup 6.2 Liter engine and the require oil grade change. The nature of this inspection and change seemed surprising and the potential engine failure risks were severe. It would be good to understand fundamentally what strategy Chevrolet is using in engine design which led to this action. Is long term durability being sacrificed in order to provide higher engine performance? Thank you.
